We provide links to the leading resources delivering up to the minute news for people travelling on or expecting to use the M3. The M3 is one of the most important routes through Hampshire, in essence it links South West London to Southampton also allowing a quick road link from the capital to Portsmouth. It passes major urban centres like Bracknell, Basingstoke and Winchester. The Motorway is about 60 miles in length, construction started in the late 1960s. Much of the motorway has three lanes in both directions. Serious incidents on the M3 can have have quite a dramatic effect on traffic in the area, depending of course on where and when they take place.

The site is simple to use has a host of useful features, not least of which is the real time road matrix signs. Website users can read the current matrix messages across the UK's motorway network. BBC Travel News provide a range of dedicated resources for users of the M3 and all of Hampshire's major roads.
